Mobile Search & Discovery at Mobile Monday Milan

You are cordially welcome to the next Mobile Monday Italy that will take place at "Restaurant & Art Bar Le Biciclette" in Milan on Monday, 17th of March 2008.

With more than four mobile phones purchased for every personal computer that's bought globally, there's a world of people whose main access point to the Internet is a mobile device and Mobile Search is one of the key area's in mobile development to satisfy the demands of the consumer.

Organising all existing online data to be displayed correctly on a small screen is one of the biggest challenges laying ahead for the industry in the coming years. Search news, locations, people, products, tourist and travel information, music and video files, all that data is already accessible on the last generation of mobile phones and a lot of companies are positioning themselves in this interesting and lucrative market space.

Now that the more established Internet brands are starting to position in mobile, this year seems to be a breakthrough year in Mobile Search .

We will talk about Mobile Search & Discovery together with some of the most important players to present and discuss the opportunities and challenges that lay ahead:

  • Paolo Cellini, Executive Vice-President at SEAT, the European leader and one of the main operators at world level in the sector of multimedia profiled advertising, offering "print-voice-online" directories, high-tech products for Internet and for satellite and ortophotometric navigation, as well as complementary communication services such as one-to-one marketing.
  • Bob Last, Senior Vice President Business Development at Taptu, an innovative mobile search start-up that offers a free mobile search service that helps to find stuff in just a few clicks and share it easily with friends.
